Field archery holidays in SW France

The Aquitaine in France is considered to be one of the outstanding areas of natural beauty in Europe. Forests, rivers running through spectacular countryside, farmland and climate. It has it all......... now it has another attraction

'La Chenaie' is an estate set in 42 acres of stunning woodland. The owners are English and are dedicated field archers. The house itself is the stuff of dreams, beautifully furnished with everything you could wish for in the perfect self catering holiday.  The main house can accommodate up to 12 people and also has two fully self contained apartments in a converted barn next to the main house.

Walk across the country lane from the house and you discover the reason why 'La Chenaie' is an archer's paradise. Less than a minute from stepping out of the door you are on the first peg of a 32 target field course

The course has been built with a great deal of experience behind it. It is intended to be enjoyable for all levels of skill. It has purposely avoided difficult terrain and yet can be a challenging course for those who seek a more competitive experience. It includes moving targets, there are no marked distances and the majority of targets are 'Big Game'. It is an instinctive archer's course but can be shot in any style you choose. Most importantly it is purely for the use of guests and residents of 'La Chenaie' and is there for you to shoot whenever you choose to.

As well as being a unique place for archers it has a lot to offer in the way of relaxation. There's a 10m x 5m pool, huge satellite TV, games room, BBQ and vast amounts of private woodland if you just want to wander. If exploring  is your thing there is the fabulous Dordogne river valley and the restaurants, markets and shopping centres of the Dordogne's capital at Perigueux a 20 minute drive away.

There is nowhere quite like 'La Chenaie' which offers the chance to shoot a beautiful course and then relax in exceptional luxury within minutes of  finishing. Perhaps the most surprising thing is the cost.
For example, a group of 12 will pay around the euro equivalent of £150 per head for a weeks stay. For archers it's an experience of a lifetime. As field archers ourselves we can offer, not only a field archers welcome, but other aspects. Maybe shooting against some local archers in a friendly competition or a trip to Aquitaine Arrows only 5 minutes away to spend some time making your own set of custom arrows in their workshop. Kids are welcome and if they want to shoot while you relax or sightsee we'll arrange an archer escort to take them round. If you feel you'd benefit from some coaching  then we'll be happy to help. We can offer advice on ferries and routes or Limoges and Bergerac airports are around an hour away with just over an hours flying time from most parts of Europe including the UK.
